From household names Keith Urban, Amy Shark, and Sheppard, to emerging artists like Jesswar, Miiesha and Jaguar Jonze, the Queensland Music Awards (QMAs) recognises the diverse people and places making contemporary popular music such an invaluable part of our nation's cultural fabric.
Judged by more than 100 leading music industry professionals from labels, streaming services, artist management, booking agencies and more, the QMAs acknowledges and celebrates Queensland's best music.
Artists are invited to self-nominate in genre-based award categories in 2022, including Blues/Roots, Children's Music, Contemporary Classical, Country, Electronic, Folk, Heavy, Hip Hop, Indigenous, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Youth (Ages 10 - 17), Soul/ Funk/ R’n’B and World.
Finalists from each category are automatically entered into major award categories Song of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year, as well as the Regional & Remote Award.

Music and videos released between 1 December 2020 to 30 November 2021 are eligible for nomination. Nominations EXTENDED to 11.59 pm (AEST) on Thursday 28 October 2021.
